   Communications Practitioner (1 POSITION)

 

                                                        

ALL INCLUSIVE ANNUAL REMUNERATION PACKAGE (TCTC): (R637 461,00)

 

SASSETA Communications Manager’s role is to manage, coordinate and facilitate the daily communication and transfer of information within SASSETA and in its social media and contact centre, in both the Digital and Language formats. They are also required to coordinate the communication and marketing processes with external stakeholders.

 

 

Reporting directly to the Marketing and Communications Manager, the incumbent shall be responsible for:

 

  • Delivery of Internal Communications (Staff)
    • Draft and obtain approval of planned communications, prior to disseminating to staff.
    • Track and monitor internal communication response
    • Receive requests for internal communication, recommend communication approach and draft communication in line with approved approach
    • Support and Assist in the development and dissemination of the annual survey
    • Report on internal communication as required
    Delivery of (Digital) Communications (Internal & External)
      Track and monitor social media commentary on SASSETAManage and monitor responses to digital communications from contact centreUpdate appropriate digital media with approved and relevant informationReport on digital communications as required Delivery of Stakeholder Communications (Internal & External)
      • Coordinate and collaborate with different internal departments relating to specific external and public events(exhibitions, roadshows, conferences, presentations, publications etc.)
      • Develop, review and approve core messaging for internal and external stakeholders in line with approved briefs
      • Review, edit and project manage the design, print and distribution of all corporate publications
      • Track and monitor implementation of core messaging and responses
      • Report on stakeholder communication as required
      Supervise the Contact Centre - Assist the Manager in the following Areas:
      • Supervise the contact centre
      • Set call targets and manage staff in line with call requirements
      • Track and address issues with call quality and knowledge
      • Address call efficiency
      • Monitor call centre availability
      Providing Marketing Support
      • Participate in marketing planning and scheduling
      • Participate in marketing functions, representing SASSETA and providing required support

       

       

      JOB REQUIREMENTS

       

      • A qualification (NQF 6) in Marketing or Communications or Public Relations or Social Media Management is required
      • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in relevant field is required.
      • A minimum of 2 years supervisory experience is preferred
      • Must be computer literate at a relevant level  (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Teams and Zoom)
      • A valid Drivers’s licence
